Favourite conditions: Sailing with the boys on the rock (Isle of Wight!!), cross off shore, 5.0m wave SE, 75 Hardcore wave, hitting some big stalled forwards, smackin some lips.
I was born and bred in Northern Ireland, where I was introduced to windsurfing at the tender age of 14, spent my youth sailing the shores of the North coast, used to compete on the Irish National circuit in waves, slalom and course racing.
Went to Maui in 1993 where I really decided that I wanted to follow a career in windsurfing and did all my professional Instructor quals when I got back to the UK.
Worked in Barbados managing a windsurfing and surfing centre for 8 seasons where I windsurfed and surfed every day, (it’s a hard life !!)
Became a RYA windsurfing Trainer in 2000 and started free lancing working with the RYA on the new windsurfing scheme and running coaching and training courses all over the world.
Now settled in the UK and living on the Isle of Wight, I now work with the Army as there Windsurfing Training Manager responsible for managing and co coordinating all windsurfing coaching and training programs.
I am totally stoked to be a member of the Seasprite team, and to have the opportunity to work with like minded people who continually strive to push the limits of the sport.
