Favourite music : Most music, love going to see a band you like live, makes them sound 10 times better when you hear them again!
I live and sail in Galway, in the west of Ireland. I've been windsurfing since 2000 when I went to a week long kids camp at Rusheen Bay Windsurfing, I haven't looked back since!
I sail with all the local posse from Rusheen, including team mate Dan Gardner. There's a good lot of us all aound the same age so finding someone to push your sailing is never hard! Rusheen is a gorgeous little flat lagoon perfect for freestyle while Silver Strand and the Gap provide some fun jumping.
Gear :
- 3.7, 4.5, 5.2, 5.8 2008 Ezzy SE. Really liking them, great power out of them to send you sky high or to really drive your bottom turns.
- RRD Hardcore Wave Cult 70, sick little board, really allows you to get your wavesailing more "surfy", a la Kauli at Cape Verde 07, in love.
- RRD Twin Tip 102, great freestyle boards, spins and slides like crazy, perfect for the flat waters of my local freestyle spot, Rusheen Bay.
Life :
At the moment I'm juggling college and windsurfing, trying to get as much time on the water as I can.
I compete on the Irish Windsurfing Association Wave and Freestyle tours and would like to hit some of the UKWA events as well if possible.
