First Rider Feedback on the RRD Wave Twin

RRD International Team Rider, John Skye, is one of the first to try the RRD Wave Twin Ltd due to reach the UK in a matter of weeks. This is John's report:
This was the first board I ever tried from RRD and it blew me away how nice it was. My past experience of twin fin boards were that they were really loose on the top turn, but for the rest of the sailing they felt slow and not exciting.
The RRD 74 Wave twin however is really different. It accelerates well, and has really good speed. There is no noticeable loss in drive when jumping (which is a common twin fin problem) and generally it just felt like a normal board.
The big difference however was on the wave. The twin fins are so nice for the top turn and the 74 can be carved hard with ease. One of the big differences is that you seem to be able to get away with things a lot easier. There have been loads of times when I thought for sure that I would crash, but somehow the board came back under control and I was able to continue riding. For tricky stuff its insane. Takas, shakas and all the freestyle moves are so much easier with the small fins and makes it really fun to sail in all conditions.
I would really recommend this board to anyone. In big waves the carvability of the board is great. In small waves the snappy turns and ease of tricks make it a good choice. The 74 will take sails from 5.4-4.4 perfectly and maybe a bit smaller too. I haven't had a chance to try the other sizes, but cant wait to get my hands on them.
