    Looping on the Big Salty

    27th Jun 2008 @ 01:39:31 PM

sSs Team Rider, James Cox is passionate about waves and the wind. His latest project, the Big Salty, has recently been launched to provide windsurfers with the best conditions around the UK coast in real time. Big Salty James is also a keen wave sailor and free styler and on his recent trip to Maui managed some pretty high loops. The photo's on the right show a particularly 'enjoyable' ride with him totally overpowered and in fear of serious injury in Maui and some more controlled leaping in Prasonisi last week.

Closer to home, sSs Team Rider, Steve Waller was reported to have been looping so high this weekend that traffic on the sea-front was stopping just to watch him. Unfortunately, all the keen windsurfing photographers on the south coast seem to have been on the water too, but the photo shows Steve on a warm-up jump on the Sunday.

Enjoy the good wind whilst you can - it seems that this might be a summer of extremes with all or nothing on the water.
