National Windsurfing Week @ 2XS
9th May 2008 @ 08:23:09 AM
National Windsurfing Week started with a bang on Saturday 3rd May at West Wittering Windsurf Club. X-Train were on hand giving free beginner lessons in the perfect learning conditions on the lagoon in West Wittering. Jem Hall was there giving free beach tuition to everyone in his inimitable style and the guys from Seasprite Sports brought a great selection of RRD Boards and Ezzy Sails for everyone to try out.
The weather was great for a demo with a bit of wind on the Saturday, some surf on the Sunday and the warmest weather of the season so far! The beach was busy and with an estimated 250 people milling around and everyone was enjoying themselves in the sunshine.
2XS fired up the barbecue on Saturday night and enough wine was drunk to make sure Sunday was a bit painful.
Overall, the first weekend of National Windsurfing Week at West Wittering was a huge success and a lot of fun and we would like to thank Seasprite Sports, Jem Hall, Simon Bassett, Emile Kott, Chris Rainbow, Grant Borthwick, Pete Barker and James Randall for all of their help in making a great weekend.
Don’t forget we have Jem Hall back on Saturday 10th May giving FREE land-based top tips, coaching and tuning tips for RRD Boards and Ezzy Sails. Jem still has a few spaces left on his clinics this year, check out www.jemhall.com for more info.
